PASSOVER, 2020
The Passover is a feast of God, meaning “disasters pass over”.
- It's a blessing from God.
It is celebrated every year, at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month in the sacred calendar based on the Bible.
- Passover in the Old Testament.
The Passover was the day when the Israelite were set free from Egypt 3500 years ago. Until then, they had labored as slaves for more than 400 years, so they prayed earnestly for their freedom.
So God heard their wishes.
- He gave Egypt a great disaster, and let the Israelite keep the Passover and save their life.
Through the Passover, God let all disasters pass over them, and they could be freed from Egypt.
After that, He commanded them to celebrate it as a lasting ordinance for the generations to come (Ex 12:1–14).
- Passover in the New Testament.
2000 years ago, on the night before Jesus was crucified, He kept the Passover with his disciples. (Mt 26:17–19; 26–28).
He promised that the Passover bread and wine would be His flesh and blood. So we can be protected from the last disaster and receive eternal life by eating the Passover bread and drinking the wine, the symbol of Jesus’ flesh and blood (Jn 6:53–58)
Jesus, His disciples, and the members of the early Church celebrated the Passover (Mt 26:17; 1 Co 11:23–26), but it was abolished at the Council of Nicaea in A.D. 325.
As a result, the Passover was not observed for over 1,600 years.
According to the Bible’s prophecy, however, God Himself has restored this feast, and only the Church of God has been observing it all around the world for over 50 years (Isa 25:6–9).
- That is, the World Mission Society Church of God is the ONLY Church that keeps the Passover of the new covenant.
Every year, at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month in the sacred calendar, we keep the Passover around whole world.
This year, too
We are going to keep the Passover.
I hope to keep this Passover with YOU! :)

I want to keep the passover this year to receive the eternal life and make the disaster pass me over.
ReplyDeleteGod has promised to give eternal life to those who keep the New Covenant. We must not distort the promise of God according to our interpretation of it.
ReplyDeleteThis is a time when everyone needs a Passover. I hope many people realize the importance.
