The history of abolition of the Passover

There is no church that celebrates the Passover today, except the World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG). That's really a wonder. Satan, who opposes God has been devising all kinds of crafty schemes to abolish the truth of life God has given us. Especially he has been trying to hinder the truth of the Passover from the second century about 100 years after Jesus' ascension up until today. After the Apostolic Age, the early Church was divided into the Eastern Chruch led by Jerusalem and Asia Minor and the Western Church led by Rome. Around that time, the Eastern Church that had been holding Communion on the Passover. Around AD155, the first dispute was initiated between Polycarp the bishop of the Church in Smyrna and Anicetus the bishop of the Church in Rome representing the Western Churches. Polycarp, who was personally taught by Apostle John, strongly rejected the Western Churches' claim that the celebration of the Passover on the 14th of Nisan should be ab...

The Day of Resurrection and the Ester

Through Moses, God freed the  Israelites  from Egypt's captivity and brought them out of the Egypt. When the Egyptian army pursued the  Israelites , God divided the Red Sea and let them across. The  Israelites  landed safely on the ground, but all the Egyptian troops that were chasing them buried in the Red Sea. In order to celebrate this day of power, God established 'the Day of Firstfruits', and the priest held a ceremony to wave a sheaf of the first grain, the first ripe fruit. Lev 23:9-11 The LORD said to Moses, "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'When you enter the land I am going to give you and you reap its harvest, bring to the priest a sheaf of the first grain you harvest. He is to wave the sheaf before the LORD so it will be accepted on your behalf; the priest is to wave it on the day after the Sabbath." The Day of Firstfruits becomes a prophecy of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. 1 Co 15:20-23  But Christ has indee...

Well-Dying? No! Well-Living? Yes!

Well-Dying? No! Well-Living? Yes! Do you know the meaning of Well-Dying?  Well-Dying  is a term that refers to the social trend of preparing to confront death in a calm and dignified manner, utilizing the method of educating and assisting the older generations with appropriate programs, palliative care, or hospices.  The poet Horace said "Pale Death with impartial tread beats at the poor man's cottage door and at the palaces of kings."    Everyone dies. No rich man, no king of honor, no scholar of knowledge can escape death. Many people wants to live long and to live forever, but they haven't found a way. That's why people are starting to pay attention to new interests. They began to think about how to well-die .  If there is a way to Well-Live forever , people will not choose Well-Dying.   Surprisingly, there is a "Well-Living Forever" method in the Bible. [ John 6:53-56 ] Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unles...

PASSOVER, AN ETERNAL PROMISE

It is Jesus's will, God's will, for us to keep the New Covenant Passover. Jesus says only the person who does the will of God can enter the kingdom of heaven. So, only those who celebrate the Passover can enter heaven. Then, how can the door to heaven be opened through the Passover? Let's see what blessing is contained in the Passover. Jn 6:53~56 Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your forefathers ate manna and died, but he who feeds on this bread will live forever." ...

The True Meaning we are keeping the Passover now

When I say to somebody we keep the Passover, many times I used to hear that it’s strange to keep it. They told me the Passover was abolished so we don’t have to keep it anymore. Even one pastor said, the Passover is not in the Bible, isn’t it amazing? What is true, what is right? If there is God’s plan for us to keep the Passover, unless we keep the Passover, we are to be in danger in front of God. So, let’s confirm the fact through the Bible. There is no other way to understand God’s idea correctly but studying the Bible. Let’s go back to the Old Testament, the copy and shadow of New Testament. If we contrast the Old and the New testament, we can figure out the relationship between the prophecy and its fulfillment. In the Old Testament times, the Israelites were freed from Egypt and entered Canaan after forty years in the desert. This was a prophecy that the saints of the New Testament times would be freed from this sinful world and would enter the kingdom of heaven after l...

The New name of Jesus, Christ Ahnsahnghong

There is a close connection between the savior and salvation. The most important information about the Savior is 'Name'.  Therefore, God said 'My people will know my name.' and 'Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.' in the Bible (Isa 52:6, Rom 10:13). As the Bible says, no one don't knows the importance of the Savior's name.  Do you know the name of the Savior correctly? Mat 28:18-20    Then Jesus came to them and said "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit , and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." As you know, the name of the Father is 'Jehovah', and the name of the Son is 'Jesus'. But here comes the name of another Savior. Many people call it the 'Holy...

There is No Sunday Worship in the Bible, But Why Do Many People Keep Sunday Service?

There is No Sunday Worship in the Bible,  But Why Do Many People Keep Sunday Service? “ Remember the Sabbath  day  by keeping it holy. ”   [Exodus20:8]  God commanded us to keep the Sabbath day. And the bible testifies that the Sabbath is Saturday [Mark16:9]. Our savior Jesus kept the Sabbath on Saturday as his custom [Luke4:16]. And all apostles who followed Jesus kept the Sabbath on Saturday according to Jesus ’  example [Act17:2].  It means that we must keep the Sabbath holy, following the examples of Christ and the apostles. However, numerous churches in the world today worship God every Sunday. Are there any Bible verses that say we must worship on Sunday? No, nowhere in the Bible dose God tell us to keep Sunday.    Then, when did Sunday worship begin? And where did it come from? It was the Roman Emperor Constantine ’ s Sunday Law that exerted the greatest influence on the change in the day of worship. Among ...

The Church of God

There are so many different churches and denominations today but there were no denominations in the early church. There was only one church established by Jesus at that time. However, after Jesus ascended into heaven and the apostles were martyred, numerous churches were established in the world. The way to find the true church established by God is very simple and easy. You just need to find out what church did Jesus establish and the apostles attended. You can find the answer if you look carefully in the Bible. All those who were saved attended the same church. Firtst, let's look at the case of the Apostle Paul who preached the gospel to many people traveling to various countries and regions in the world. 1Co 1:1~3 Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes, To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesu...
